We are currently seeking a dedicated Sales Attendant (Auxiliary) to join our dynamic Food Services team. Day-to-Day
As a Sales Attendant, you will be an integral part of the UBCO Food Services team, reporting to the Food Services Manager and receiving daily guidance from the Senior Sales Attendant. Your primary focus will be delivering exceptional customer service to all clients, including students, faculty, and other staff members. This role involves direct interaction with the campus community, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery across various food outlets.

- Prepares food and beverages in food service restaurants, residences, and retail outlets

Requirements
To excel in this Sales Attendant role, candidates should possess a blend of practical experience, essential certifications, and strong interpersonal skills. The ability to maintain a safe and sanitary environment is paramount, alongside a commitment to providing outstanding service.
- Grade 10 or equivalent and Food Safe Level 1 Certificate
- One year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must complete and pass associated specialized training program, if located in a specialized Skills Outlet (i.e. Tim Hortons, Subway, Starbucks, etc).
Key performance competencies and criteria include:
- Ability to maintain cafeteria in a safe and sanitary manner
- Excellent customer service skills with ability to deal tactfully and diplomatically with internal and external contacts
- Must be flexible and able to manage conflicting priorities to meet deadlines
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with an aptitude for working in a collegial and collaborative environment
- Excellent organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to handle a high volume of work during peak periods; ability to multitask
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- Must be able to lift 30+ LBS safely
- Must be able to work on your feet for 8+ hours
