Position Summary

Rogers is committed to connecting Canadians and is expanding its innovative team. We are seeking a strong and dedicated Manager to join the Wireline Revenue Finance team within our Corporate group in Toronto. This pivotal role will support the overall financial planning and reporting for service and equipment revenue specifically related to Entertainment. The position requires close collaboration with various teams to provide value-added analysis on revenue, manage month-end revenue reporting, and contribute to forecasting and budgeting processes. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, capable of examining financial and business issues from diverse perspectives to highlight both risks and opportunities for Rogers.

Your Impact

As a Revenue FP&A Manager, you will play a crucial role in the financial health and strategic direction of the business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting the financial operations of the business through the preparation and review of month-end reporting packages, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Providing insightful commentary on financial results and key business indicators, while driving continuous improvement within the finance team.
  • Participating in the organisation's strategic planning process and maintaining a deep understanding of industry trends, key business/cost drivers, and accounting policies.
  • Developing and preparing comprehensive reporting for management, ensuring visibility into financial performance and operational measures through monthly reporting packages.
  • Conducting detailed analysis on revenue trends, preparing month-end variance analysis and commentaries versus budget and forecasts, and proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Collaborating effectively with key business partners and finance leadership teams, communicating key trends, observations, and business impacts.
  • Assisting in business case development, financial modelling, and decision-making in support of strategic initiatives.
  • Ensuring the integrity of data in models and reports, while continuously seeking new and innovative ways to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of existing reporting.

What You'll Bring

To excel in this Revenue FP&A Manager role, you will need a combination of professional qualifications, experience, and strong analytical skills:

  • Professional Accounting Designation (CPA or MBA).
  • Knowledge and experience with IFRS 15.
  • 3-5 years of progressive financial analysis experience as a senior analyst.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and competing priorities.
  • Strong skills in working with the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of the following systems will be considered a strong asset: Oracle Financial Systems, Hyperion/Essbase, data querying software (SQL, Data bricks, Alteryx, Snowflake), PowerBI.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude, and determined to learn and sharpen skills on an ongoing basis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate and influence across the organisation.
