We are seeking two permanent, full-time Project Coordinators to join our AMM - Facilities SOGR Delivery - Facilities Office team. In this role, you will coordinate the design and construction of assigned physical infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, timely, consistently, and cost-effectively. Your work will focus on customer satisfaction, managing temporary conditions at stations during construction, and overseeing testing, commissioning, and training. This is an in-office position based at our 20 Bay Street location, where a highly collaborative environment benefits from in-person co-creation, relationship-building, and hands-on partnership with leaders across the organisation.
What You'll Do
You will coordinate multiple projects or specific components through all phases, from design and construction to acceptance and commissioning for handover to user groups. Your responsibilities include contributing to procurement requirements, producing and coordinating amendments for project documentation, and assisting with issue and risk reporting and mitigation plans. This role also involves designing and managing in-house projects and emergent rehabilitation/repair work for user groups. You will identify, develop, and recommend physical infrastructure programmes for the rehabilitation and expansion of all GO Transit facilities, managing the implementation of approved projects. Furthermore, you will research, develop, and recommend maintenance standards, procedures, and technical training requirements for new technology resulting from capital works. Maintaining the highest possible customer experience throughout construction and maintenance activities, mitigating customer-to-construction interface risks and ensuring customer satisfaction, is paramount.

This background should provide a thorough knowledge of engineering, architecture, construction, and maintenance theories and practices within an operating environment. You must successfully complete environmental, safety, and any other required training and certification to stay current on regulations and industry standards, as well as corporate policy.
A minimum of five years of experience related to the planning, design, and construction of transit facilities, public-facing, and maintenance facilities is required. This includes experience interpreting and applying contract plans and specifications, and coordinating contracted engineering projects. You will have thorough knowledge of the theory, principles, and practices of Architectural, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Industrial Engineering, Building Science, and Architecture. Detailed knowledge of project management, including cost control, scheduling, codes, standards, specifications, CCDC Documents, corporate policies and procedures, and applicable contract legislation, is essential. A thorough understanding of Railway Rules and Regulations, and Safety & Operating procedures, is also required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, presentation skills, the ability to work independently, strong interpersonal and negotiating skills, and analytical ability are a must. Proficiency in MS Office Software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and Project, is considered an asset, and proficiency in project management software and computer applications is essential.
