The Capital Projects Group (CPG) is seeking a Data & Reporting Specialist for Workforce Planning. This role supports data-driven decision-making across CPG, blending advanced analytics, data engineering, and workforce planning. A strong emphasis is placed on building scalable data solutions, automating workflows, and delivering actionable insights.
The successful candidate will work with large datasets to develop ETL pipelines, dashboards, and forecasting models. They will also support workforce planning activities such as demand forecasting, capacity planning, and resourcing analysis.
What You'll Do
Design and implement data management strategies, including building and maintaining ETL pipelines to extract, transform, and load data from multiple systems such as HR, finance, project systems, and Azure data sources.
Develop and maintain relational databases and data models to support efficient data storage, retrieval, and reporting.
Ensure data integrity, governance, and quality through validation, transformation, and monitoring processes.
Perform comprehensive data analysis using SQL, Python, and advanced Excel features like Power Query and Power Pivot.
Translate complex datasets into clear visual insights through dashboards, charts, and executive presentations.
Support workforce planning initiatives, including headcount forecasting, demand planning, and scenario modelling.
Analyse workforce metrics such as capacity, utilisation, attrition, and hiring trends to identify potential risks and opportunities.
Liaise with internal stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into effective technical and analytical solutions.
Provide subject matter expertise in data interpretation, reporting, and workforce analytics.
What You'll Bring
Completion of a degree in Engineering, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Demonstrated experience in a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or similar role, with exposure to workforce or operational analytics.
Solid knowledge of relational database concepts, database management software, and tools.
Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office Excel (Pivot tables, Power Pivot, Power BI, Power App) and SQL queries.
Foundational experience in workforce planning, capacity modelling, or forecasting.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling the collection, organisation, analysis, and dissemination of significant amounts of information with strict attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to translate business needs into actionable resourcing and forecasting insights.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders and business units, identifying and managing data and information requirements.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to prepare reports, update and brief management, and provide technical explanations to a range of internal stakeholders.
