We welcome exceptional candidates passionate about serving high-net-worth (HNW) and ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) clients, whether you are a licensed Portfolio Manager, an emerging Associate Portfolio Manager, or a relationship-focused Wealth Manager committed to becoming registered.

While the scope of discretionary authority and portfolio management responsibility varies by licensing level and provincial securities regulator registration, all roles share a strong expectation for client relationship ownership and proactive business development. Candidates will be assessed for the position that best aligns with their experience, licensing, and career trajectory within SJF.

Responsibilities

Across all Portfolio Manager, Associate Portfolio Manager, and Wealth Manager roles, core responsibilities are shared, focusing on growth, client satisfaction, and adherence to professional standards:

  • Gain an intimate understanding of clients’ goals, circumstances, values, and evolving wealth needs.
  • Deliver holistic wealth advice that integrates investments, planning, tax, insurance, and banking solutions.
  • Proactively identify gaps, risks, and opportunities to enhance client outcomes and experience.
  • Act as the central relationship owner and trusted advisor for clients.
  • Represent SJF internally and externally with professionalism, credibility, and a strong growth mindset.
  • Ensure complete, accurate, and up to date KYC/IPQ documentation.
  • Maintain ongoing suitability of strategies and recommendations as client circumstances evolve.
  • Operate with strict adherence with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and conduct standards.
  • Uphold SJF’s values of integrity, professionalism, and client first decision making.
  • Collaborate closely with the CRIA team who supports APM and PM development and other Total Wealth partners to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Contribute to a high-performance, inclusive, and growth-oriented team culture.
  • Share knowledge, support team initiatives, and participate actively in meetings and development activities.
