job description

What you'll do

DashMart is a local fulfillment center owned and operated by DoorDash, delivering household essentials and everyday items to customers quickly, reliably, and with care. Canada's DashMart network spans 18 sites from coast to coast and is growing. The Operations Manager role has two parts, and both matter equally.

  • Own the full operational outcomes for a portfolio of roughly five DashMart sites and the managers who run them
  • Develop Site Managers into highly functional, largely self-sufficient operators through effective coaching
  • Lead at least one active, centralized workstream designed to improve results across the entire DashMart Canada network
  • Drive operational priorities spanning inbound and outbound efficiency, facility-cost management, data reporting and dashboarding, quality controls, and process design
  • Operate simultaneously as a regional P&L owner and a strategic contributor reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, Canada

What you'll bring

DoorDash is looking for someone with a builder's mentality who can design from first principles rather than templates, and who is unafraid of ambiguity.

  • 5+ years of operations leadership experience, including at least 3 years experience managing other managers with P&L accountability
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional work alongside product, engineering, or central teams without direct authority
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract strategic insight from data and build analysis that changes a decision, with comfort in Sigma, Excel, or SQL as an asset
  • Experience with multi-site or large-scale operations, including direct P&L accountability
  • Strong organizational instincts to manage your region and work streams simultaneously without letting either slip
  • A builder's mentality and comfort operating in ambiguity with incomplete information
  • Flexibility across geographies and schedules, requiring presence across your sites and availability when the business needs it

About the employer

At DoorDash, our mission to empower local economies shapes how our team members move quickly, learn, and reiterate in order to make impactful decisions that display empathy for our range of users, from Dashers to merchant partners to consumers. DoorDash is growing rapidly and changing constantly, offering team members the opportunity to share unique perspectives, solve new challenges, and own their careers. We are committed to building and empowering a more inclusive community within our company, industry, and cities by hiring diverse teams from all backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.

Benefits

DoorDash cares about your overall well-being and provides a comprehensive benefits package designed to support employees' happiness and healthiness.

  • Opportunities for equity grants in addition to base salary
  • Paid time off, paid parental leave, wellness benefits, and several paid holidays for all regular employees
  • Medical, dental, and vision benefits, disability, and basic life insurance for full-time employees
  • An RRSP including an employer match
  • A mental health program and wellness expense reimbursement
