About the Role
Manulife is building a Centre of Excellence for Global Digital Marketing, aiming to become a digital customer leader. This function integrates Measurement & Insights with Demand Generation to create a comprehensive, full-funnel approach designed to drive tailored customer journeys using connected data. The goal is to raise brand awareness, drive quality traffic, generate leads, secure sales, and foster brand loyalty. We are seeking an innovative, analytical, and curious Marketing Campaign Analyst to join our dynamic and growing global team, contributing to our digital transformation and data democratisation journey. Reporting to the Manager of Media Analytics, the Marketing Campaign Analyst is responsible for both contributing to and owning the production of high-quality insights from marketing campaign data. These insights will be transformed into actionable recommendations for marketers and the Demand Generation team across various segments and lines of business. You will propose various analysis initiatives and ensure that regular deliverables, such as post-campaign reports, quarterly business reviews, and case studies, meet our business needs. This role requires strong statistical intuition and familiarity with relational data, digital media, and analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Google Marketing Platform, Meta Ads, and Business Intelligence visualisation tools like Power BI. A solid understanding of the digital marketing space, including media and general digital analytics, is also essential. The position will support colleagues in telling compelling performance stories backed by sound analysis and will directly interface with stakeholders to align on measurement strategy and business goals.
Key Responsibilities
The Marketing Campaign Analyst will create comprehensive reports and visualisations to communicate findings clearly and effectively to stakeholders. They will consult and advise the media execution team on upcoming initiatives, basing recommendations on historical data and current measurement capabilities. A key part of the role involves applying statistical techniques and thinking to analyses and discussions, using experimental design, confounding variables in measurement, and faceting by categorical variables to uncover trends. The analyst will work with the Media Analytics Manager on developing a measurement strategy that allows for end-to-end reporting, including Return on Ad Spend (ROAS), for multiple lines of business. Collaboration with the data orchestration team is crucial for architecting efficient, scalable processes for the automated ingestion and processing of media data. Furthermore, the analyst is expected to proactively identify and lead analysis initiatives and projects that are relevant to the business needs.
What You'll Bring
Candidates should possess a minimum of three years of relevant experience in a similar role, industry, function, or practice. Essential qualifications include experience with digital marketing campaign analysis and proficiency in writing readable code to wrangle, analyse, and present data, utilising tools like Quarto or Notebooks. Knowledge of frequentist statistical methods, including generalised regressions and inferencing, is required. Experience with Business Intelligence data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Domo is also necessary. Applicants must have experience with digital media and web analytics tools, including Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, and various Media Platforms like Google Marketing Platform, GA4, Meta, and LinkedIn. A nuanced understanding of different media channels and their role in the marketing funnel is important for asking the right questions. While not mandatory, experience in the financial industry would be highly beneficial. Business-level English, both written and spoken, is a fundamental requirement for this position.
