About the Role
TD's Talent organisation, a global function within Corporate HR, drives the enterprise talent strategy, encompassing talent management, organisational effectiveness, talent acquisition, inclusion & diversity, and learning & development. This L&D Project Manager role supports Enterprise Learning & Development (EL&D), which sets the strategic direction for learning solutions at TD to build capabilities for all colleagues.
Reporting to the Manager, Learning Enablement, you will partner with various stakeholders, including businesses, Learning Solutions Architects/Advisors, and vendors. Your primary goal is to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality, innovative, and diverse multi-modal blended learning solutions that align with business priorities and talent strategies.
This position involves leading the end-to-end planning and execution of low-to-medium complexity L&D projects. These projects include the design, development, and delivery of both internal and outsourced enterprise-wide and business-specific solutions. You will apply project management methodologies, processes, and tools to establish clear visions and detailed execution plans throughout the project life cycle.
Key Responsibilities
You will implement learning solutions across various formats, including in-person or virtual Instructor-led training (ILT), eLearning, webinars, self-directed learner pathways, and workshops, all while adhering to established L&D processes. A core responsibility is leading the planning and execution of low-to-medium complexity L&D projects, utilising project management tools to ensure timely, in-scope, and on-budget delivery.
Key duties also include supporting the vendor engagement and onboarding process for third-party learning solutions and fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders through regular communication. You will be responsible for reporting on project progress, actively managing and resolving risks and issues, and conducting project retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
Staying current with emerging trends in project management, including Agile and hybrid practices, is essential. You will also contribute to the broader project management community by sharing your subject matter expertise and actively pursuing professional growth.
Skills & Experience
You should have a minimum of five years of project management experience, ideally within a learning or adult training environment, coupled with a thorough understanding of project management frameworks and methodologies. PMP certification is preferred, and Agile or Scrum certification is considered a valuable asset. Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles is also essential.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record of delivering results, a strong commitment to operational and service excellence, and a client-focused approach. The ability to prioritise and manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with changing business priorities is crucial. You must effectively manage diverse stakeholders, building relationships through sound communication, negotiation, consensus-building, and influencing skills.
Candidates should possess a solutions-focused, 'can-do' attitude to foster positive team morale and engagement. Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills are required, along with high adaptability and flexibility to take initiative. Proficiency in the MS Office suite, especially MS Project, and competency in facilitating virtual team meetings using tools like MS Teams and Webex are expected. Experience with LMS, LXP, eLearning tools and standards (e.g., SCORM, xAPI, HTML 5), and development software (e.g., Articulate Storyline) is considered a bonus or nice to have.
