About this opportunity
Join Scotiabank's Security team as an IAM Product Manager, contributing to a purpose-driven, inclusive, and high-performing culture. This pivotal role involves leveraging strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills to understand and consolidate organisational security requirements. You will be instrumental in delivering next-generation security products through large-scale transformation, maintaining a shared product framework that includes strategy, roadmap, budgeting, and processes in collaboration with various engineering, architecture, operation, and control function teams.
Key duties
As an IAM Product Manager, you will be responsible for a range of strategic and operational tasks, ensuring the successful evolution and delivery of Identity Access Management solutions across the enterprise. Your duties will include:
- Understanding and defining the business objectives, clearly outlining the problems and risks the solutions are solving.
- Defining the roadmap and strategy surrounding the IAM platforms which service the enterprise and consumer-facing channels.
- Executing on the product strategy, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, defining the Minimum Viable Product (MVP), and rollout plan.
- Facilitating communication on roadmap progress with management-level stakeholders and clients.
- Managing the product backlog, new features, and enhancements for workforce IAM.
- Facilitating forums and preparing the team for constructive collaboration sessions with cross-functional teams, technology and business channels, and control functions.
- Developing business cases based on the roadmap and priority, aligning with Technology, PMO, and Finance teams on the funding required, cost and benefit analysis, and cost allocation model.
- Reporting on overall product status, metrics, key achievements, next steps, and risks with a data-driven approach.
- Acting as a leader and/or mentor to other product managers and business analysts on the team.
Requirements
To succeed in this IAM Product Manager role, candidates are required to possess a blend of educational qualifications, extensive experience, and critical soft skills. Scotiabank is seeking individuals with a proven track record in product management and information security.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) required.
- 7+ years’ experience in a Product Management (or equivalent) capacity required.
- 4+ years’ experience in Information Security or Information Technology.
- 4+ years working with IAM platforms like Sailpoint IIQ, Entra ID, and/or CyberArk required.
- Previous exposure to Regulatory, Compliance, Risk, and Audit functions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong planning and organisational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience in the information security industry and with security software products.
- Excellent understanding of financial principles of a large enterprise organisation.
- Experience in working with complex processes.
- Willingness to learn and grow, demonstrating resilience to ever-changing priorities.
