As a temporary Fit Coordinator at Arc'teryx, you will play a crucial role within the Product Creation Development department, directly supporting the Manager, Fit & Pattern. Your primary responsibility will be supporting the fit and pattern team in their dedicated efforts to uphold a consistent level of quality, fit, and performance across all Arc'teryx product lines. This involves actively supporting the Fit and Pattern Block program, which requires cross-functional collaboration to align fit and layering theory with both guest expectations and brand needs. You will work closely with the Design and Development teams to maintain existing blocks and develop new blocks to meet seasonal and trend requirements. Furthermore, you will support the sewing team in keeping the block sample library current and meticulously organizing it, contributing to the CLO3D block library.
Throughout the development season, you will provide essential support to Fit specialists from the concepting phase through to the fit-approved stage. This also extends to supporting communications between Merchandising, Compliance, and Brand Marketing teams, ensuring that guest messaging on fit, sizing specifications, and layering approaches are universally and accurately translated. A significant part of your contribution will involve supporting Design and Development teams in problem-solving and evaluating the consistency of fit in products, offering guidance and support for spec accuracy. You will also assist Fit specialists in creating comprehensive fit documentations for educational purposes and ensure that fit models and mannequins accurately represent target figures. This role is integral to the continuous evolution of fit and fit consistency across all product categories at Arc'teryx, providing valuable feedback to improve fit and development processes.
Arc'teryx is seeking a dedicated individual for this temporary Fit Coordinator position who brings a minimum of two years' experience in production patternmaking, grading, and fitting. Candidates should possess an undergraduate degree in apparel design or another relevant field, or equivalent industry training and certification, coupled with related business experience. Essential knowledge includes understanding sizing, fitting, and global body shapes, alongside proficiency in garment construction and CAD patternmaking. Strong technical skills are required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Illustrator. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written in English, are paramount for effective collaboration within the Arc'teryx team.
