You will work with key business partners to understand business drivers and provide insightful financial guidance on a range of initiatives. This position also actively leads expense forecasting activities throughout the year, providing valuable insights and analysis to both the Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Forecasting and Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.
Responsibilities
As a Financial Analyst, you will manage relationships with business partners across the organisation, providing guidance, technical support, and training to budget managers while fostering transparency in the budgeting and reforecasting process. You will support, enhance, and troubleshoot financial systems such as Hyperion EPMBCS, SAP 4/HANA, and SAP Project Systems, including system updates, testing cycles, and implementing technical solutions using tools like VBA, SQL, and JavaScript. A key part of your role involves continuously improving financial systems and applications to meet evolving business needs, acting as both a front-end user and back-end administrator. You will design and deliver dashboards, reports, and financial summaries highlighting key performance indicators and overall business performance, and lead the preparation of Financial Statement budgeting to support the development, execution, and approval of the Annual Financial Plan. Your responsibilities also include analysing actual variances to plan and forecasts, proactively investigating and bringing to the surface any risks and opportunities to budget and forecasts, and establishing productive client relationships to ensure budgeting transparency. You will contribute and collaborate as a team member in cross-functional settings, communicating effectively with business partners and within the Finance division. You will recognise key financial, operational, and business drivers of performance, integrating these into business insights and collaborating with the rest of Finance to incorporate them into financial models for analysis and forecasting. Additionally, you will remain current on accounting principles and corporate policies as they relate to planning.
