This is a 12-month contract opportunity for a Data Scientist, Partnerships, based in Toronto, Ontario. You will provide analytical support to key business clients, delivering actionable insights to drive strategy, support tactical initiatives, and improve organisational efficiency.
Your analysis and business intelligence tools will be crucial in promoting and sustaining the profitable growth of Triangle Partnership programs. Key responsibilities include establishing a strong understanding of financial and customer data sources to deliver data-driven solutions.
You will support the development of sound analytical models, understanding their statistical significance to create business value. Enhance analyses using statistical methods, support cross-functional teams with data model applications, and extract, manipulate, and interpret data to identify key trends.
Summarise findings into concise, informative reports and presentations for business partners, and provide proactive analyses on areas influenced by customer behaviour trends. What You'll Bring
Candidates should possess a University Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline. You will have two to three years of experience building machine learning models that address business needs, along with sound knowledge of statistical models and machine learning principles.
Advanced knowledge of Python, SQL, and/or SAS is required, as is advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience extracting and working with large customer and retail data sets, and the ability to draw meaningful conclusions and insights from this data, are essential.
Working knowledge of data management and design is also necessary. We are looking for someone with flexibility, energy, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment, coupled with a passion for data, technology, and implementing technology for process improvement.
Effective communication and feedback loops to manage project timelines are also important. Experience in the Retail or Banking industry, specifically in marketing or sales support, operations, or finance, is considered an asset.
