Calgary Co-op is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Cashier to join their team in Calgary. This role is responsible for ensuring an exceptional customer experience through maintaining a safe and efficient operation, all while adhering to Company policies, procedures, and standards. The successful candidate will provide outstanding customer service, handling merchandise, questions, and complaints with professionalism and a friendly demeanour. Key duties include performing stocking and display functions efficiently, maintaining display presentation, and ensuring price integrity. The cashier is also responsible for general cleanup duties, ensuring the sales floor and back stock area are clean of cardboard and debris, including the disposal of garbage. Adherence to Occupational Health and Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental regulations is required to ensure the well-being of all staff and customers. This position also involves the proper care and maintenance of equipment and tools, reporting any repair requirements to management. A working knowledge of PLU codes is essential, and the role is responsible for adhering to regulated laws, such as age restrictions. The Customer Service Cashier will perform all aspects of cashier functions, including opening and closing duties, and operate checkouts and cash handling in an efficient manner. Additional responsibilities may include ordering money, merchandise, and supplies, as well as receiving and inventory tasks if required. The role may also involve operating Customer Service Office functions efficiently, including POS reporting, Lottery, Cash Balancing, and security system checks, among other duties.
