The Saskatchewan Health Authority is seeking a dedicated Combined Laboratory & X-Ray Technologist to join their team at the Gull Lake Special Care Centre. In this vital casual position, you will be performing a range of critical laboratory and medical imaging duties, contributing significantly to the detection, prevention, and management of physiological and pathological conditions for patients. Your expertise in both the laboratory and with X-ray technology is essential for providing comprehensive diagnostic support. This role is integral to the health and well-being of the community in Gull Lake, Saskatchewan. To be successful in this Combined Laboratory & X-Ray Technologist role, candidates must possess a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist diploma (CLXT). This foundational education is absolutely required to perform the complex duties associated with both laboratory analysis and X-ray imaging. Beyond formal education, strong communication skills are essential for interacting with patients and colleagues, ensuring clear and effective information exchange. Analytical skills are paramount for accurate diagnostic work in the laboratory, while excellent interpersonal skills foster a collaborative and supportive work environment. Organisational skills are also required to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritise responsibilities, and maintain precise records. Basic computer skills are necessary for navigating health information systems and documentation. The ability to work independently is a key competency, as you will often be responsible for critical tasks with minimal supervision.
