As a Cloud Solution Architect specializing in security, you will drive security transformation on the Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms to support the Canadian business.

This is a customer-facing role owning the technical relationship between the customer and Microsoft. You will help customers leverage their investments through architecture, implementation, and operational health engagements, accelerating your career growth and deepening your cloud expertise.

Day-to-day

In this customer-facing technology position, your core responsibilities and daily tasks include:

• Drive positive Customer Satisfaction, become a trusted advisor, provide feedback and insights from customers and partners, and act as the Voice of the Customer.
• Connect with Global Security teams at Microsoft, Engineering, and Product teams to remove blockers and influence the solution roadmap.
• Land an end-to-end value proposition for Security, including Zero Trust, spanning Microsoft Security offerings with a focus on Threat Protection, Identity and Access Management, and Cloud Security.
• Position and deliver solutions that drive Security product usage, develop opportunities for customer success business results, and help customers get value from Microsoft investments.
• Identify resolutions to customer blockers by leveraging subject matter expertise, delivering according to Microsoft best practices and using repeatable IP.
• Accelerate the business value of overall security adoption by improving security posture and ensuring solutions exhibit the Secure by Design framework.
• Align individual skilling to team and area demands and customer success goals.
• Contribute to Intellectual Property creation and reuse to accelerate customer outcomes.
• Run Architectural Design Sessions to build implementation plans and govern designs in line with customer business goals and technical environments.
• Collaborate and orchestrate with other Cloud Solution Architects and Microsoft stakeholders, including FastTrack, partners, and Microsoft Consulting, in developing complex end-to-end enterprise solutions with the Microsoft Security platform.

What you'll bring

Candidates must meet the following minimum or required qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 7+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting, OR equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud background check.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Reliability Status security screening with the Government of Canada.

Preferred qualifications and experience include:

• Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or Master's Degree with 8+ years of relevant experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, or consulting.
• 6+ years of experience working in an internal or external customer-facing role.
• 6+ years of experience leading technical projects.
• Technical Certification in Cloud, such as Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, or security certifications.
• Subject matter expertise in Sentinel, all Defender Workloads, Data Security strategies, Identity and Access Management, and Zero Trust strategies.
• Deep knowledge of solution architecture, design, implementation, and support of Cloud Security.
• An active Canadian Government Secret Clearance or the ability to secure one with the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate.
• Proven track record of building deep technical relationships with senior IT executives in large or strategic accounts.
• Strong presentation skills with comfort speaking to large and small audiences.
