This Associate Manager, Paid Social position at Canadian Tire Corporation, located in Toronto, Ontario, is a critical role supporting both brand and performance objectives across retail and eCommerce through the paid social growth channel. The Associate Manager will own day-to-day channel delivery, leading a dedicated pod to execute high-quality, performance-driven campaigns across key social platforms.
Responsibilities include ensuring consistent execution, reporting, and insights for paid social channel delivery quality. The role involves leading the paid social channel pod, managing priorities, workload balance, and campaign delivery, while also consulting on tactical strategy for integrated media plans. The Associate Manager will serve as a primary vendor relationship owner, driving alignment, performance, and partner satisfaction, and ensuring the team adheres to established processes and frameworks.
The successful candidate will lead and support performance-driven paid social campaigns in a retail environment, focusing on traffic, conversion, and revenue outcomes. This includes applying retail and omni-channel best practices to audience strategy, creative guidance, and optimisation. They will contribute to testing, optimisation, and applied learnings to improve channel performance over time, and develop, train, and certify talent within the in-house paid social team, mentoring members on platform execution, reporting, insights, and partner communication.
Key performance indicators for this role include ROAS, CPA, conversion rate, traffic quality, spend pacing, budget stewardship, delivery accuracy, quality and actionability of insights and optimisation recommendations, and the impact of test-and-learn initiatives. Accurate data capture, tagging, and measurement across paid social platforms and CTC digital properties are also crucial. Collaboration with cross-functional partners like Planning, Creative, and Analytics is essential for integrated campaign delivery and new initiatives.
What You'll Bring
Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field. A minimum of five years of paid social experience is required, with agency experience preferred.
This role demands retail and/or eCommerce experience in running performance-focused paid social campaigns, along with hands-on expertise across Meta, TikTok, Snap, Reddit, and Pinterest. Expert proficiency in Google Analytics is also necessary.
Experience in leading or mentoring teams and owning vendor relationships is important. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of media buying, measurement, and reporting, coupled with the ability to operate effectively within a complex, cross-functional organisation.
