In this pivotal role, you will monitor and optimize reservoir performance and recovery processes for Canadian Natural's assets, ensuring sustainable resource exploitation. A critical accountability involves developing accurate production forecasts for thermal wells, which are essential inputs for budgeting, long-term planning, and corporate reserves. You will collaborate within a team on development plans aimed at maximizing the net present value of projects, providing regular technical evaluation reports and updates to senior management. Leading multi-discipline project meetings, you will drive continuous improvement within our thermal business, ensuring all operations and new development plans adhere to relevant regulatory and environmental requirements within the industry.
Candidates for this role should bring a minimum of five years of engineering experience, holding a Bachelor of Science in Engineering, and must be registered or eligible for registration with APEGA. Demonstrated problem-solving, communication, organization, and leadership skills are essential. Experience in the thermal and petroleum industry, along with data analytics and visualization methods, would be considered valuable assets.
