Key Responsibilities and Daily Duties
The core duties of this Clerk 8 position involve a comprehensive range of administrative and data management tasks. The incumbent performs crucial clerical and receptionist duties for the Corporate Revenue Department, effectively directing calls and emails while fulfilling various information requests and enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders. A significant aspect of this role includes preparing, sending, receiving, organising, and tracking essential information required for the determination and support of assessment values for properties situated within the City of Saskatoon. The individual collects, accurately enters, and performs necessary follow-up on a diverse range of assessment data, including vital income and expense information, sales records, ownership changes, and other property-related data. Furthermore, the role involves diligent filing of all types of correspondence, information, and documents, ensuring organised record-keeping. The Clerk 8 also prepares, prints, and packages various documents, invoices, and receipts for mailing. A key responsibility is participation in the Corporate cheque printing process, including ensuring proper security and controls are maintained, administering proper cheque distribution, and meticulously maintaining audit logs. The ability to proficiently enter and maintain data in appropriate systems is essential, alongside assisting in the preparation of purchase requisitions and processing payments for departmental goods and services.
