The Technical Analyst is responsible for performing evaluations on electronic and industrial equipment, preparing technical reports, and conducting testing.
Key Responsibilities
The Technical Analyst evaluates equipment conformance against published standards such as CSA, UL, and IEC. They extract and compile engineering data, obtain and record test data in accordance with standards, and analyse test data to perform necessary calculations.
A key part of the role involves preparing technical reports and project files to ensure compliance with operating procedures. The analyst makes recommendations regarding technical decisions related to the interpretation of standards and communicates effectively with clients and management.
Additionally, they provide training and work instructions to technicians and may oversee their work. All responsibilities are carried out in full adherence to the Company’s Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures, Quality Management System, Compliance and Ethics Policies, Vision, Mission and Strategy, exercising good judgment, common sense, and diplomacy.
What You'll Bring
Candidates must possess a degree or diploma in Electrical or Electronics Technology. Preferred qualifications include experience with U.S., Canadian, and other international product safety standards such as ANSI, CSA, UL, EN, and IEC.
Two years of directly related experience is also preferred. Competent reading and writing skills in French are considered an asset for this position.
