Restaurant Host/Hostess - Mont-Royal, QC

Responsibilities

As a Restaurant Host or Hostess at Cineplex, you will be an integral part of a team dedicated to providing an exceptional experience to every guest. Your primary duties will include warmly welcoming guests upon arrival, seating them at tables, and efficiently managing reservations. You will often be the first point of contact, ensuring a positive initial impression, which involves handling phone calls for reservations and assisting with coordination between the service and kitchen teams.

Key responsibilities also encompass receiving and accurately recording guest reservations, then assigning tables appropriately. You will greet guests at the entrance of the dining room, restaurant, or lounge, and escort them to their designated seating areas. Maintaining familiarity with all menu items is important, as is speaking with guests to ensure their satisfaction with food and service, and adeptly addressing any complaints they may have. You will also accept guest payments for food, beverages, and games as needed, and perform cleaning of designated areas according to downtime procedures, morning and evening routines, and hygiene requirements.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you must be of legal drinking age. While not strictly mandatory, previous customer service experience is preferred. A keen attention to detail is essential, alongside excellent communication and problem-solving skills to effectively interact with guests and colleagues.
