Responsibilities

The registered nurse plays a vital role in promoting high quality care for patients, residents, and clients within the facility.

• Promoting high quality care through assessing, planning, implementing, documenting and evaluating total care needs
• Coordinating with all departments within the facility, families, and professionals associated with care needs
• Promoting effective communication through care given and reporting mechanisms
• Participating in staff meetings and educational opportunities to maintain professional competence

What you'll bring

Candidates must meet specific educational, certification, and competency standards to qualify for these healthcare jobs in Oxbow.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN), Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing, Nursing diploma, or Psychiatric Nursing diploma
• Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
• Registered or eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of SK (CRPNS)
• Intermediate communication skills to provide and obtain verbal or written opinions and advice
• Advanced interpersonal skills
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working internal and external relationships
• Ability to competently use computers and software applications
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to make decisions on patient care and coordination of equipment
