This role is based in Calgary, Alberta, operating on a 5x2, 8-hour shift schedule.
In this role, you will be responsible for gathering and analysing crucial production data, confirming pipeline deliveries, and accurately uploading well tests, production, inventories, and sales into the PAS system. A key part of your duties will involve preparing Oil, NGL, and gas sales splits, and submitting Volumetric, SAF/OAF, APMC, and other required reports to Petrinex, while also communicating effectively with partners. You will book and analyse revenues, royalties, processing charges, trucking charges, and accounts receivable, alongside reviewing internal control and exception reports. Collaboration with field teams to meet government compliance requirements on EPAP & CAI, and resolving Crown discrepancies related to property, are also vital aspects of this position.
Candidates should bring a degree in Accounting or Business Administration and be registered or eligible for registration with CAPPA (Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accounting) Certification. We are seeking individuals with 0 to 4 years of production and revenue accounting experience. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical, account reconciliation, problem-solving, organizational, and Excel skills. An understanding of the production accounting cycle and deadlines is essential, and prior experience in an oil and gas or mining environment would be a valuable asset.
