This pivotal role within the Transition Year Program (TYP) offers an unparalleled opportunity to provide essential support to First Nations, Métis, and Inuit (FNMI) students as they navigate their crucial first year of university life. The TYP is a unique, in-person, community-based initiative, deeply rooted in ancestral knowledge systems, designed to foster the emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual well-being of its students. As an Okiskinohamâkew, you will play a significant part in helping these students build academic confidence, forge strong connections within the university community, and cultivate a robust sense of self.
