Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner with the Saskatchewan Health Authority, your responsibilities will include:

• Order diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe pharmaceuticals.
• Perform specific procedures in the management and treatment of common acute illnesses and stable chronic conditions.
• Build partnerships with individuals, families, and communities.
• Conduct community needs assessments.
• Support inter-professional collaboration.
• Participate in continuous improvements through evaluative processes/projects.
• Provide clinical assessment and treatment strategies that reflect in-depth knowledge of the care populations.

What You'll Bring

To excel in this Nurse Practitioner role, you will bring a combination of education, licenses, certifications, advanced competencies, and essential knowledge and abilities:

Education & Licenses:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
• Registered/eligible for registration with the CRNS as RN (NP)

Certifications:

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Level C Certificate (BCLS)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
• Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale certificate (CTAS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
