Key Responsibilities and Required Experience
The Manager, Business Development will lead, coach, and continuously upskill a team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs), ensuring they consistently exceed pipeline generation goals. Key responsibilities include recruiting, developing, and coaching BDRs in prospecting, opportunity identification, and pipeline generation, preparing them for future Account Executive roles. This involves delivering ongoing training on sales prospecting, discovery, email outreach, and outbound calling, alongside individual coaching through call shadowing and performance reporting. The role demands maintaining a culture of accountability and innovation, defining and monitoring performance metrics for lead generation, and analysing data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Cross-functional collaboration with sales and marketing teams is essential to create and implement effective programs and manage the inbound pipeline.
