The Opportunity
As a Financial Advisor within the Personal and Business Banking Team, you will cultivate and expand a dedicated client portfolio. This involves comprehensive relationship management, providing financial services support, and delivering exceptional client service.
You will embody CIBC's Imperial Service approach, serving as a primary point of contact for clients, guiding them in planning for both immediate needs and future aspirations. Your role involves building lasting connections and offering expert financial advice to help clients secure their futures, achieve homeownership, and establish businesses.
Key responsibilities include engaging with clients to provide tailored advice and solutions across all financial planning areas, such as day-to-day banking, investments, lending, and estate planning. You will proactively cultivate your network to establish new client relationships.
You will also drive business development by understanding the local market, converting leads into new clients, and leveraging CIBC’s range of credit and investment solutions to ensure client satisfaction and generate referrals. Additionally, you will enhance CIBC's brand presence through community involvement, attending local events, and participating in marketing activities to grow your network and create future opportunities.
This role requires flexibility to work banking centre hours, which may include evenings and weekends, and to operate from multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance to ensure a great client experience. The position is full-time on-site.
What You'll Bring
You possess a postsecondary degree or diploma, or have a minimum of four years of relevant experience. You are a certified professional with current accreditation and good standing for Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization - Investment Dealer (CIRO-ID) licensing.
For Quebec-based candidates, current accreditation and good standing in AMF licensing is required. This includes successful completion of the Canadian Investment Funds Course (CIFC) or the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) to support AMF (Autorité des Marchés Financiers) licensing, along with Registered Retirement Consultant (RRC) certification. Completion of CSI/ICB Investment and Taxation Fundamentals Course - Quebec (0774) and CSI/ICB Legal & Ethical Aspects of Financial Planning Course (0790) are considered assets.
