About the Opportunity
The Saskatchewan Health Authority is seeking an Emergency Medical Responder for a part-time temporary position at the Kindersley Health Centre. This role involves providing essential pre-hospital care, including patient assessment, treatment, and safe transport. The position offers a dynamic schedule with shifts across days, nights, evenings, weekends, and standby.
The salary for this position is within Pay Band 11, ranging from $22.600 to $24.210 over a three-step range.
What You'll Do
As an Emergency Medical Responder, you will be responsible for assessing patients, providing immediate patient care, and safely transferring and transporting individuals to medical facilities. You will apply your skills in a fast-paced environment, ensuring compassionate and effective support during medical emergencies.
What You'll Bring
To be successful in this role, candidates must have completed a licensing exam to become registered with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics and hold an Emergency Medical Responder certificate. A Grade 10 education is also required. Applicants must possess a valid Class 4 driver's licence, a current First Aid Certificate, and a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Level C Certificate. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with basic computer proficiency. The ability to work and communicate effectively in a cross-cultural setting is also important.
