About the Role
As a Clothing Department Sales Manager, you have a passion for sports and an active lifestyle. Working with apparel is your passion, and merchandising standards are integral to your approach. You demonstrate a positive and engaged attitude when dealing with customers and employees, and you are responsible for coaching and developing your team.
As an ambassador and leader of the customer experience, you develop relationships with customers and provide mentorship and coaching to your team to ensure exceptional service. You will coach and develop your department team by setting clear expectations, maintaining open lines of communication, providing continual coaching, constructive feedback, and ongoing support. You will build and manage daily game and sales plans for the department.
This role involves creating development plans for full-time staff, providing support and coaching to improve any performance gaps. You will demonstrate strong communication skills through effective huddles, meetings, and coaching sessions, and you will develop and maintain a positive work environment for staff.

Candidates should have a minimum of two years in a retail environment, preferably at a supervisory level. A proven track record of business growth and exceptional customer service skills is essential. Demonstrated interest or involvement in sports or the sporting goods industry is considered an asset.
