About the Opportunity
This is a part-time regular opportunity for a Clinical Resource Nurse at the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will work a 0.79 FTE, covering days and nights, including weekends. The rotation involves 10 shifts of 11.78 hours over a four-week period. The anticipated start date for this position is June 15, 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Under the guidance of the Manager, the Clinical Resource Nurse, also referred to as a Clinical Coordinator, is primarily responsible for system navigation and optimising patient flow within the nursing unit. This involves maintaining ongoing awareness and active involvement in the unit's workflow. Key duties include managing bed assignments, coordinating discharge planning, advocating for patients and their families, identifying necessary supplies and equipment, and assisting with staff scheduling.
Compensation and Work Environment
The hourly wage for this position falls within the Pay Band Nurse B range, from $42.040 to $52.440. This role is unionised under SUN. You will be based at the Jim Pattison Children's Hospital in Saskatoon, within the Maternal Services 1 Department.
