CIBC is building a relationship-oriented bank for the modern world, seeking talented and passionate professionals dedicated to client success. At CIBC, your strengths and ambitions are embraced, empowering you to make a meaningful impact and be valued for your contributions. As a member of the Personal and Business Banking Team, you will lead a high-performing team of financial services professionals towards delivering an exceptional client experience.
In this role, you will hire, develop, and coach your team, inspiring them to perform at their best. You will act like an owner by helping clients and team members succeed, fostering revenue growth, and taking accountability for results. You will make a difference by supporting new and existing clients as they secure their futures, own homes, and establish businesses. This full-time, on-site position requires flexibility to work banking centre hours, which may include evenings and weekends, and potentially at multiple banking centres within a reasonable travel distance.
Key Responsibilities
You will lead by example to deepen client relationships, meet financial needs, and provide a high standard of service. This involves advocating for CIBC within the community to develop new and existing client relationships, and ensuring that client complaints are quickly resolved or escalated when necessary.
You will foster a culture of teamwork, ensuring clients are served by those best able to meet their financial needs. You will monitor the Banking Centre’s business performance, implement action plans to address any gaps, and collaborate with all partners to maximise market opportunities and increase overall performance. Managing and minimising risk to safeguard the bank, clients, and shareholders is also crucial.
As a people leader, you will coach a high-performing team of Leaders, Advisors, and Representatives to deepen client relationships and deliver appropriate growth. You will provide meaningful development opportunities for employees and advocate for CIBC within the community to recruit individuals who share and demonstrate our values.
What You'll Bring
You prioritise our clients, engaging with purpose to find the right solutions and going the extra mile. You are goal-oriented, motivated by accomplishing objectives and delivering your best. You are passionate about people, finding meaning in relationships and connecting with a diverse network through respect and authenticity.
As a caring and accountable leader, you are passionate about developing and growing team members' abilities, with experience in coaching and providing hands-on support to meet team goals. You act like an owner, thriving when empowered to take initiative, go above and beyond, and deliver results. You are a certified professional with current accreditation and a good standing Mutual Funds Licence, such as the Canadian Securities Course or Investment Funds In Canada.
Completion of the Branch Compliance Officer’s Course (BCO), Branch Managers Examination Course (BME), Conducts & Practices Handbook (CPH), Wealth Management Essentials (WME), or Certified Financial Planner (CFP) is considered an asset. You bring your authentic self to work and live CIBC’s values of trust, teamwork, and accountability.
