Manulife's Group Benefits Operations is seeking a manager for the AdminAdvantage team. This role is for a highly motivated, influential, and passionate professional committed to building solid relationships while delivering initiatives in a fast-paced and changing environment.
The AdminAdvantage Operations team within Manulife Group Benefits connects people, technology, and expert services to simplify benefits administration. The goal is to provide a consistent, powerful member and client experience, with a vision to be recognized as the partner of choice within the industry for benefits administration services.
You will lead a team supporting large corporate clients, coordinating efforts to provide world-class benefits administration and customer service. Clients trust us with their group benefits administration, and you will be part of a team delivering outstanding results to these clients and their members.
This opportunity is ideal if you enjoy a fast-paced, evolving environment where innovation is encouraged and every day brings something new.
Key Responsibilities
As the AdminAdvantage Operations Manager, you will provide leadership, motivation, and support to an operations team. Your efforts will ensure that established objectives in service, quality, and productivity are consistently achieved.
You will build a highly performing, cohesive team through recruiting, coaching, mentoring, team building, and development opportunities, all focused on delivering quality service.
This role involves acting as the primary point of contact for escalated requests from both internal and external customers. You will identify client needs, issues, and perceptions, then develop action plans to ensure a positive client and member experience.
You will coordinate service in partnership with all global teams and support groups to meet or exceed service expectations. This includes coordinating operational functions such as scheduling, planning, processes, and quality controls across multiple global teams.
Furthermore, you will seek out new opportunities and participate directly in continuous improvement projects. This includes identifying service, cost, and employee experience improvement opportunities and creating plans of action to address them.
You will support the financial contribution of AdminAdvantage through effective management of employee productivity and other expense control mechanisms. Close collaboration with the RGO, Service Owners, and global team members is essential to fully understand and address client concerns and issues promptly.
What You'll Bring
You are an experienced and sought-after leader with a proven track record of attracting talent, motivating your team, and driving employee engagement. You are comfortable creating and managing resource assignments and scheduling, with strong Office 365 skills.
Ideally, you are an approachable leader who acts with integrity and embodies our values. You have successful experience supporting client Service Level Agreements, including intraday, daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
A comprehensive knowledge of Group Benefits and AdminAdvantage is considered a significant asset. You learn quickly, easily picking up new ideas, concepts, technologies, and tools.
You are dedicated to continuous improvement, embracing digitization, innovation, and automation. Accountability is key; you make things happen, take ownership, and find solutions.
You strive to delight customers, prioritizing their needs and experience in doing business with us, treating internal customers with the same regard. You are a master communicator, able to clearly articulate business needs between technical and non-technical resources, and present strategy and vision to senior management.
Resilience is vital; you adapt to change and effectively lead others through it. As a strategic thinker, you can conceptualize beyond day-to-day business realities and effectively consider downstream impacts.
You possess a proven ability to collaborate and negotiate with various stakeholders who may have competing priorities, maintaining your composure and best self during challenging times or interactions. You carefully balance risk and are comfortable driving solution progress forward, even when your team doesn't yet have all the answers.
