Responsibilities

As a Theatre Facilities Specialist, your core responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring that all theatre policies are applied and procedures are respected.
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and facility maintenance.
• Fostering excellent relations with clients and patrons.
• Accurately accounting for revenue and inventory from the bar, cloakroom, and souvenir sales.
• Preparing cash deposits diligently.
• Supervising, training, and guiding front-of-house staff.
• Providing emergency care, such as first aid or CPR, when necessary.

Skills and Experience

To excel in this role within the City of Ottawa, candidates should possess a blend of education, experience, and specific certifications.

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma (Grade 12).
• At least one year of supervisory experience in a public-facing environment.
• Hospitality experience, preferably dans un théâtre, an entertainment venue, or a similar setting.

Licences and Accreditations:

• A valid General First Aid, CPR, or AED certificate.
• AODA Customer Service/NAI training.
• A Smart Serve certificate from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

Knowledge:

• Demonstrated knowledge of City of Ottawa policies and procedures.
• Proven understanding of public safety programs.

Skills and Abilities:
