- Ensure compliance with client requirements, applicable codes and standards, regulatory obligations, and approved quality programs.
- Review and monitor quality assurance programs, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), procedures, manufacturing controls, hold points, and witness points.
- Oversee incoming material inspections, in-process verification, final acceptance inspections, manufacturing records, inspection reports, and turnover packages.
- Drive timely disposition and effective closure of nonconformances, deviations, and quality issues, including corrective and preventive actions.
- Lead structured root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives that reduce defects, rework, schedule impacts, and recurring issues.
- Benchmark industry best practices and lessons learned to strengthen supplier quality performance across projects.

Skills and experience
Candidates must meet the following education, technical knowledge, and professional background requirements:

- Demonstrated oversight of welding, fabrication, inspection, and testing for complex engineered components, including WPS, PQR/WPQR, welder performance qualifications, and welding inspection requirements.
- Working knowledge of applicable codes and standards such as ASME Section III, ASME Section IX, CSA N285, CSA N299, CSA W47.1, CSA W59, or equivalent nuclear and pressure-boundary fabrication standards.
- Practical familiarity with VT, PT, MT, UT, and RT nondestructive examination methods, together with ITPs, hold points, witness points, quality documentation packages, and manufacturing records.
- Proven experience leading supplier audits, surveillance programs, quality assessments, root cause analysis, CAPA management, and corrective action initiatives.
- Experience leading and developing technical teams, quality inspectors, or welding inspection personnel; CWB Level 2 or 3, AWS CWI, CGSB NDE, CQE, or equivalent certifications are strong assets.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to represent client interests in manufacturing environments; experience supporting nuclear utilities, suppliers, reactor projects, pressure-retaining components, or nuclear quality programs is highly desirable.
