About the Opportunity

The Amazon Prime Team in Vancouver, British Columbia, is seeking a talented Software Development Engineer II. This is an exciting opportunity to work on one of Amazon's most recognised and impactful brand programs, contributing code that influences millions of people daily.

You will be instrumental in building highly scalable and fault-tolerant customer-facing applications, focusing on delivering personalised experiences to Prime members in real-time at a massive scale. The role involves close collaboration with the business team to design and implement new features, utilising core languages and technologies such as Java, Python, and the latest AWS capabilities.

What You'll Bring

Candidates should possess at least three years of non-internship professional software development experience. This includes three years of non-internship experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, encompassing design patterns, reliability, and scaling.

Experience programming with at least one software programming language in a professional, non-internship setting is required. Preferred qualifications include three years of experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations. A Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent field is also preferred.
