The Senior Business Partner will leverage expert knowledge and insight to shape the conception, development, and implementation of strategy, system planning, and performance measurement for Ontario’s provincial emergency services program. This involves working in a dynamic environment to foster and maintain strong working relationships and strategic business partnerships with senior management within Ontario Health, leading large-scale initiatives that advance critical emergency department system priorities. The role ensures the emergency services program achieves greater value from existing and planned health system investments through collaborative efforts, partnership, and integration. Furthermore, this position develops and ensures transparency, consistency, and compliance across partnership policies and protocols, providing quality business relationship services within a corporate framework while managing various partnerships, agreements, projects, programs, and initiatives that support the overall health care system in Ontario.
The Senior Business Partner provides essential oversight and support for program operations, deeply understanding and communicating specific business needs related to data, performance measurement, capacity planning, and partner engagement. This individual will proactively propose and drive new initiatives and partnerships that align with these critical business requirements, anticipating challenges and designing effective change support. A key aspect of this role involves brokering innovative business solutions and strategic partnerships to meet the diverse needs of Ontario Health partners, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, population need, and system capacity. The position leads the development and implementation of strategic and operational plans for provincial emergency services, transforming business needs into actionable workforce planning requirements. It also involves analyzing trends and issues to provide data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement in quality and value within the health system. Successful candidates will possess a master's degree in fields such as business administration, health administration, or health informatics, coupled with 5-7 years of comprehensive work experience in developing, implementing, and operating programs aimed at improving clinical care and outcomes or health system design. Clinical experience within an emergency care setting is strongly preferred, alongside proven experience in consulting with and influencing senior leadership. The role demands strong judgment, the ability to manage conflicting priorities, and a flexible leadership style. An energetic demeanour, entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for developing innovative solutions to complex organizational challenges are highly valued. Excellent communication, negotiation, and partner management skills are crucial for leading business conversations and effectively driving programs across various partner groups, ensuring robust support for Ontario's vital health services.
