Our Canadian Resources department, encompassing Mining and Industrial sectors, supports clients nationwide. Over decades, we have developed a broad range of services, including economic studies, project management, detailed design, procurement, site management, commissioning, and industrial programming. This Project Manager role is within our Industrial department in Chicoutimi, serving industrial and mining operators. You will support both local clients and large-scale projects across Canada.
As a Project Manager, you will administer project budgets and schedules, ensuring deadlines align with objectives and specifications. You will analyse client needs, define project scope, and structure project teams in collaboration with department directors. Maintaining clear communication between clients, contractors, and functional units is essential.
This role involves supervising engineers, technicians, and drafters assigned to projects. You will coordinate tenders, evaluate submissions, and ensure the quality of deliverables provided to clients. Providing technical support to construction sites when necessary is also part of your responsibilities. You will supervise the design of plans, specifications, and details for industrial mechanical and piping projects, ensuring design calculations comply with codes and regulations.
To succeed in this role, you should have a college diploma in engineering technology. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is considered an asset. You will need a minimum of five years of relevant project management experience, with consulting engineering experience being an asset. An ASP Construction card and availability for travel to plant sites are required.
We are looking for someone with strong client relationship skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Excellent adaptability and the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team environment are crucial. Strong technical knowledge is also essential to support the team and guide decision-making.
