About Trillium Health Partners
Trillium Health Partners is one of Canada’s largest community-based teaching hospitals, serving the growing and diverse populations of Mississauga, West Toronto, and surrounding communities. We operate through several sites, including the Credit Valley Hospital, the Mississauga Hospital, the Queensway Health Centre, and the Reactivation Care Centre. Guided by our values of compassion, excellence, and courage, we are dedicated to creating a new kind of health care focused on the well-being of people and communities.
About the Role
As a permanent full-time Plumber within Facilities Services, you will be based primarily at the Queensway Health Centre in Etobicoke, Ontario, with the flexibility to travel across sites for operational needs. Your shift will typically be Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with occasional weekends and additional on-call hours required. In this role, you will earn $36.324 per hour, complemented by a comprehensive benefit package, a pension plan, and paid vacation and holidays. You will be responsible for performing essential plumbing maintenance duties across hospital facilities, ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, legislated codes, and regulations. Your work will contribute to maintaining a functional, reliable, safe, and comfortable healthcare environment for our patients and staff.
What You'll Bring
To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of a Grade 12 education along with a current Province of Ontario Skilled Trade licence in Plumbing, or an equivalent qualification. Further coursework in Refrigeration, HVAC, Electricity, Mechanics, and CAD/blueprint reading is also required. You must have successfully completed an apprenticeship programme. We are looking for someone with the ability to make sound decisions regarding materials and repair methods, demonstrate flexibility to work various shifts on a rotating basis, and thrive working both independently and as part of a team. Effective communication skills, a positive work ethic, a strong attendance record, and the ability to work across multiple sites are essential.
