As a Merchandising Coordinator at Sleep Country, you will provide crucial day-to-day administrative support to the dynamic merchandising team, covering both mattress and accessories categories, as well as our direct-to-consumer brands. A significant part of your role will be to provide timely support to stores by addressing associate questions via email regarding product pricing and ongoing promotions. You will also play a key part in preparing vital information and data for weekly, monthly, and annual meetings, ensuring the team has the resources needed to make informed decisions about our sleep products. This position requires you to liaise with the Supply Chain department to gather comprehensive information necessary for the Product Supply team to accurately enter new products into our systems and make them available in stores. You will provide support by investigating new products as directed, collaborating with Supply Chain and Sales teams on discontinued schedules and new product roll-outs. Furthermore, you will be responsible for preparing event and everyday price tag files, working closely with printing service providers to ensure all promotional and regular price tags are accurate and delivered to all stores on time. Maintaining sales support documents, including cost sheets and spiff tables, with high accuracy on SharePoint is also a core responsibility. Your efforts will help ensure a seamless flow of products and information, enhancing the overall customer experience.
To excel in this Merchandising Coordinator position, candidates should ideally possess a university or college degree or postgraduate certificate in Merchandising, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field, though this is considered an asset. A minimum of one to two years of previous merchandising or operations administrative experience within a retail environment is essential. Prior experience with ERP systems like Storis or Oracle would be a significant asset, demonstrating your ability to manage complex product data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are paramount, as you will collaborate and build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to provide comprehensive support. Strong problem-solving, organization, and time management skills are crucial for managing and prioritizing conflicting demands in a fast-paced setting.
