The Exploitation Engineer will work within a multi-discipline team to identify opportunities that maximize asset value, meticulously evaluating the performance of both company and competitor wells to generate accurate type-well curves by play type. A core responsibility involves monitoring and optimizing reservoir depletion and recovery strategies for the company’s wells, ensuring alignment with field development plans in conventional play-type formations. This includes providing recommendations and economic evaluations for completions, recompletions, re-drills, and new locations, alongside supporting the delineation and ongoing updates of field development plan strategies. Furthermore, the role requires evaluating potential acquisitions and divestitures within your geographic area, maintaining a deep understanding of asset performance and strategic fit. You will also be responsible for maintaining and updating monthly and annual production forecasts using various technical and analytical methods, including input into budget and 10-year plan forecasts, while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of corporate reserves. Adherence to all relevant regulatory and environmental requirements is paramount, with regular project updates and technical evaluation reports provided to senior management. This role demands significant experience in the natural resource sector, particularly in the exploitation of oil and gas assets.
